The Swamplanders enjoyed a lot of humour - much of it captured in the cartoons produced by one of the Rover Scouts, a certain "Aitch". They started life in the 8th Lambeth Scout Group's Newsletters and went on to amuse readers of "The Scout", a weekly magazine for younger members of the UK Scout Movement and the monthly "Scouter" magazine for adult leaders.
