ROYAL
VISIT TO WALMER AND DEAL The Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, The Lady Colgrain, has announced that
His Majesty The King will be visiting Kent on Thursday 10 July.
The day will begin at the historic Walmer Castle, where His Majesty
will be welcomed by the Lord Warden and meet representatives from
the fourteen coastal towns that form the Confederation of Cinque Ports.
His Majesty will then visit the restored Captains Garden at
Deal Castle, a community-led project that has transformed the space
into a wildlife-friendly haven for residents and visitors. The King
will then make his way to Walmer RNLI Lifeboat Station, followed by
a beach clean along the seafront, highlighting His Majestys
continued commitment to the environment. The Royal Marines Band will
be performing to mark this special occasion. The Kent Lieutenancy
is looking forward to this memorable day for Walmer and Deal, celebrating
community spirit, heritage, and service.
