Swamplanders Revisited
Swampland Gazette Vol 2 No 4

Comments

It is with deep regret that we record the passing away of Mrs Smith. Although dogged by ill health, she often helped our other ladies with the many jobs that they do. As a true and trusty friend of the Troop, she will always be in our memory.

John Bash has passed his Dispatch Rider examination and has qualified to be a Queen's Scout. This is not automatic and requires the recommendation of the District Commissioner. We have now had a Queen's Scout for Troop Leader since 1946....

.... Dulles has produced a card stating that he is almost First Class. We shall probably jog his memory a little.

Notes and News

Following the 8th Swamplanders' (I mean 8th Lambeth's) Dance at The Swan in Stockwell on Friday February 7th much comment has been aroused by the MC's remark of "It doesn't matter what dance I announce, they still do the same weird gyrations". How square can you get? That was jive... or so I am told.

A Journey of Sorts

You may have read in previous issues of the Bulletin that it was intended to purchase a Cub duplicator. (This has nothing to do with Cubbing.) Saturday the 18th of January was the day selected to go to purchase it.

It was a lovely morning and the 59 bus soon took us to Picadilly Circus..... We did not purchase our duplicator. The reason: they had not yet arrived from the duplicator makers. I knew they were new, but not that new.
